At The Wedding Guest Chaperone, we can provide a personal door-to-door chauffeur and transport service for elderly guests, disabled guests and anyone who may need a little extra assistance travelling to a wedding or special occasion.
Our service goes far beyond simply providing transport. Your chaperone can collect your loved one from their home, care home or accommodation, assist them throughout their journey and make sure they arrive safely, comfortably and ready to enjoy the celebrations.
Where appropriate, your chaperone can remain with them throughout the wedding day, before ensuring they are safely returned home afterwards.

Walking aids and wheelchair accessibility
We understand that travelling with reduced mobility can require a little more thought and planning. If your loved one uses a walking stick, walking frame, rollator or other mobility aid, we can discuss this with you beforehand and make sure suitable arrangements are considered for their journey. We can also look at practical accessibility considerations such as where the guest can be safely dropped off, the distance from the vehicle to the entrance, steps, uneven surfaces, gravel and how easily they will be able to access the venue. These may seem like small details, but careful planning can make an enormous difference to a guest's comfort, confidence and independence.

Disability taxi arrangements
Where a guest is unable to transfer safely from their wheelchair into a standard vehicle, we can help arrange an appropriate wheelchair-accessible or disabled taxi for their journey. Our chaperone can accompany your loved one during their journey and provide continuity of support from their home or accommodation right through to the wedding venue. We can also help coordinate return transport, taking into consideration the guest's mobility needs and expected departure time. Every guest is different, so transport arrangements are discussed individually rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our aim is to make the entire journey as easy and reassuring as possible. We don't simply collect your loved one and drop them outside the venue. Our door-to-door wedding guest service means we can assist them from their home, care setting or accommodation, throughout their journey and safely into the wedding venue. At the end of the celebrations, we can provide the same level of support for their journey home, helping them from the venue, accompanying them during their return journey and ensuring they are safely back inside their home or accommodation. For families, it provides peace of mind. For the guest, it provides the confidence to attend and enjoy an important family occasion without having to worry about how they will get there or how they will manage the journey home.
